Supply chain after Covid -19

Japan is regarded as a global leader in sustainability, so when it was announced that they would host the 2020 Olympics (which were later moved to Summer 2021 due to Covid-19), they also unveiled a two-year nationwide campaign for people to collect unwanted and outdated electronic devices in order to be turned into Olympic medals. Here is where the supply chain for the medals starts: over the course of two years, over 80 tonnes of electronic garbage were gathered nationwide, creating more than 5,000 gold, silver, and bronze medals that were given out to deserving competitors.

This project involved many different parties, including businesses, towns, and other local communities in addition to the Japanese national government. The campaign has the support of the Renet Japan Group, a significant business.
