I’ve noticed that my skin reacts differently depending on the time of year—dry and tight in winter, oily and irritated in summer—but I’m not sure how to adapt my routine effectively. I’ve come across the idea of seasonal skincare but don’t know what that actually means in practice. What changes should I consider making to keep my skin balanced and healthy throughout the seasons? Has anyone in Miami experienced this and found a good routine or treatment that works?

I completely understand that seasonal shifts can wreak havoc on your complexion—I live in Miami, and our humidity, sun, and occasional dryness demand constant care. I looked into seasonal skincare https://www.cityglowflorida.com/post/seasonal-skincare and learned that adjusting your routine gradually as the weather changes can make a major difference. In colder months, richer, more nourishing moisturizers help restore the skin barrier and prevent flaking, while in warmer seasons, lightweight, breathable formulas and more diligent sunscreen use protect against humidity-driven oiliness and sun exposure. I also started using a humidifier at home during drier periods to maintain skin hydration and love layering hydrating serum under a light moisturizer to lock in moisture without feeling heavy. Creating small seasonal tweaks—like swapping cleansers, adjusting hydration levels, and emphasizing SPF—has helped my skin stay calm, comfortable, and radiant year-round.
