I prefer paint and most of my customers prefer paint over wallpaper as you rarely ever have to strip off paint like wallpaper. Stripping wallpaper can be a real nightmare. If you do chose wallpaper my suggestion is you pick a heavy vinyl type or other heavy types that are called “Stripable “.Wallpaper is great however to cover minor cracks and imperfections in old plaster walls or where a slightly rough surface cannot be easily repaired. It is also more durable than paint for high traffic areas. We used heavy vinyl wallpaper in many new commercial buildings and renovations in hallways and lobbies.If you wallpaper be sure to smooth or fill the walls and prime before you paper if you ever intend to remove the wallpaper.
