Executor duties and the probate path
Couple of weeks ago, my mother passed, and now I’m responsible for handling her estate. It’s my first experience dealing with something like this, and I’ve been trying to understand what’s expected of an executor in probate. Most of what I’ve found online is really dry or super complicated. Would love some firsthand advice on what the actual process looks like, and what to prioritize early on.

Been browsing probate threads lately since my cousin might ask me to help with our aunt’s estate. Following along with interest. These kinds of experiences are good to hear about beforehand rather than during a crisis.
