Couple of weeks ago, my mother passed, and now I’m responsible for handling her estate. It’s my first experience dealing with something like this, and I’ve been trying to understand what’s expected of an executor in probate. Most of what I’ve found online is really dry or super complicated. Would love some firsthand advice on what the actual process looks like, and what to prioritize early on.

Took on the role of executor for my uncle's estate last year, and trust me, there’s more to it than meets the eye. From filing the will with the court to notifying creditors and eventually distributing property, it’s a structured legal process. I found this Probate attorney in Scottsdale who made everything clearer—they outlined every step and handled court documents professionally. It saved me time and kept things on track, especially with legal deadlines.

Been browsing probate threads lately since my cousin might ask me to help with our aunt’s estate. Following along with interest. These kinds of experiences are good to hear about beforehand rather than during a crisis.
