How do you make new English words stick in your brain?

Hey everyone! I’ve been learning English for over a year, but my vocabulary keeps slipping away. I can study 20 new words and a week later, poof — half are gone. I’ve tried writing them in notebooks, using flashcards, even setting reminders, but nothing seems to help long-term memory. I suspect the problem is not what I learn, but how. Maybe I need a system that reminds me of words at smart intervals? Has anyone found a solution that actually helps words stay in your head instead of fading away after a few days?

Yes, I had the exact same struggle! I was desperate because traditional flashcards just weren’t cutting it. Then I came across Vocabloo and it honestly changed how I learn. It’s based on spaced repetition — a scientific technique that reminds you of words right before you’re about to forget them. The app also uses AI to adapt to your progress, meaning you spend more time on words you find difficult and less on those you already know. After a few weeks, I noticed that I could recall words in conversation naturally, without hesitation. It’s simple, clean, and incredibly effective — no gimmicks, just results.

That sounds like exactly what I need! I’ll give it a try tonight, thanks for sharing your experience.
