So long as you have not written anything else on the SD card you can easily recover it. I would suggest a recovery program called Recuva. Great little piece of software. I would suggest a deep scan if you have written to the card since the accidental deletion of your folder, chances of recovery are lower if cells have been overwritten which may corrupt data permanently. Try the software as it's free, you can pay for the extra features version, but I have found the free one to be sufficient. You have nothing to lose, and it won't harm the card if your sd card is in good working order, obviously if your card has heating issues the longer your card is plugged in the higher the chance of data corruption, and if it is very important stuff, you might be better off with a data recovery specialist taking care of it.
