Has anyone got a good recommendation on what it takes to transform a mineral discovery into a producing mine? I’m curious about feasibility studies, approvals, construction, and the final ramp-up. A former colleague worked on a promising deposit that stalled when the economics changed, so I’d like to learn more about the decisions that separate a discovery from a real operation.

I’ve been curious about this as well. Someone I worked with was involved in a promising deposit that looked great on paper, but rising construction costs eventually changed the whole feasibility picture. It really showed me that finding the resource is only the beginning. I’ve been reading more about how experienced developers approach feasibility, permitting, financing and ramp-up decisions. Public profile is interesting in that context too, especially for understanding the business side of taking projects forward.
